Client Advisor Program™ (CAP)

CAP Overview


In this dynamic and uncertain market, clients require a different level of service to support their business continuity and financial well-being. Their needs demand more than our compliance deliverables, providing information and guidance to help them make swift decisions as they manage cash, pivot their business models, and navigate staffing, technology and other infrastructure changes. To make the shift to a truly strategic client advisor, you’ll have to shed old ideas and habits and develop both your advisory skills and an advisory approach to engagements.

The ConvergenceCoaching Client Advisor Program (CAP) is an entirely remote, modular program designed to teach experienced CPAs and consultants advisory skills and strategies to deepen their client relationships, broaden the support they provide clients beyond compliance services and ultimately make a bigger difference in the lives and businesses of their clients.

The program seeks to teach CPAs and consultants how to identify their ideal clients for advisory and coaching services and implement various strategies and frameworks to develop deep rapport with clients, engage in query to uncover needs and to develop, scope, and price solutions, too. CAP participants will partake in five, web-based video roundtables covering a range of client-centric topics. After each roundtable, participants will complete specific homework assignments related to the ideas covered and will report back on their outcomes to experienced coaches who will provide them feedback. The result is participants become more indispensable to clients and drive growth with every module mastered.

Each 2-hour Roundtable is conducted via a videoconference platform that maximizes interactivity with all participants. Class size is managed to enable ample time for sharing and a size conducive to networking with peers from other firms and developing lasting relationships, too.

The program’s five modules and associated outcomes are outlined in our overview. The cost to participate in the CAP is $2,495 per person, including CPE credit.

Terms and Conditions

If circumstances require that you must cancel your participation in the ConvergenceCoaching Client Advisory Program (CAP), you may be entitled to a refund. We will refund the following prior to the program kick-off, based on the total program cost you paid.

  • 45 or more days prior to the program kick-off call - Full refund or credit to a future ConvergenceCoaching program
  • Less than 45 days before the program kick-off call up to the kick-off call - a full credit to a future ConvergenceCoaching program, but no refund available

    Should you need to cancel your participation in CAP after the program kick-off call but before the second roundtable, you may identify an alternative qualified candidate from your firm to participate in your place or in a future program. If this option is chosen, your registration fee will be transferred to the new participant. If you cancel your participation in CAP after the second roundtable, no refund or cred is available. Should ConvergenceCoaching cancel the program before the third session is held, participants will receive a full refund or credit against for their CAP registration fee. If ConvergenceCoaching must cancel the program after the third session has been held, participants will receive a prorated credit against account for the portion of the program not delivered. We reserve the right to re-schedule the Roundtables due to unforeseen or natural circumstances including but not limited to earthquakes, hurricanes, extreme weather, pandemic, etc., and we make no guarantee on alternate dates meeting every participant’s schedule.

CPE ConvergenceCoaching, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
